Finals are over, and its time for the break!

Firstly, I want to appologize for the absence. Not much has really happened that I felt was worth writing about as most of my life has been consumed by finals. Now that I’ve finished everything up, I just wanted to share a few quick things.

Firstly, I have to say I have the most amazing girlfriend ever. She makes me so incredibly happy, and we get allong better than I could have ever imagined. Sadly, I’ll be going back to Mississippi for Christmas break for 3 weeks, so we won’t see each other for a while. Because of this, we decided we should spend one more day together and go around Huntsville. I had such a good time with her. Our first stop was The Mill, where her mom owns a small art supply store and there are tons and tons of artists. We stopped in a little food place where Lydia used to work and had a bite to eat. The food was so good! I had a sandwich with cheese and bacon, with some tomato soup to dip it in, and Lydia had something with turkey and bacon. She gave me the full tour of the building and there was so much to see. I found a vinyl coppy of Willie Nelson’s first studio record and got that, and she found some music she herself would like. Lydia also showed me the rooms where the artists work upstairs and I found this one artist who is a fictional cartographer. He loves making maps, and chooses to go with artistic liberties to create these beautiful city shapes and designs. Our last stop was to grab a popsicle before we went to go see a movie.

Let me be clear. This is nothing like your average theatre. We definitely planned this one out. At this theatre, you can get in these huge luxury chairs and order a whole meal to your spot, and they have it to where the chairs are easy to recline and even raise the middle arm rest between two chairs. We chose to watch the new Star Wars movie, and it was amazing!! I really enjoyed it, and it didn’t feel like a blatant ripoff of the classics. After our movie, we met up with Lydia’s parents and little brother to have dinner at Kona Grill, a great place to eat. Lydia and I ended the night walking around the mall and spending as much time together as we could. It will be quite a while until we see each other again, and I will miss her so much.

In other news, it seems I will have some free time now. I’ll try to have interesting stories on here whenever I have them. I don’t want to fill this website with sub par content, so if there simply isn’t any quality content to post I won’t waste anyone’s time.

Lastly, I just want to say I actually finished this semester with a bang. Great scores on my exams and I officially have an A/B grade this semester. Considering I had Com Law I’m pretty happy with that result.
